Old Dover Days is a must-see event in Delaware. Held annually the first weekend in May, Old Dover Days showcases the colonial history of downtown Dover, capital of “The First State.” Centered on Dover’s Capital Complex and Colonial historic district, with The Green, Old State House, Legislative Hall, nearby historic State Street, and the
Loockerman Street shopping district. Museums and schools throughout the city participate with special tours, food festivals, craft faire, and more.
This annual event features more than 100 craft vendors and colonial craft demonstrators. Craft vendors, deadline to register is
early April!

Artist Felix Darley (born 1821 Felix Octavius Carr Darley in Philadelphia PA) is known as the "Father of American Illustration." He lived in Claymont Delaware and died there in 1888. He did illustrations for literary works by Charles Dickens, James Fenimore Cooper, Edgar Allan Poe, and even early paper notes. For more information, see:
