Leaf Festival
Fair runs September 27 thru October 7,
2008 (Craft Show Friday, October 3, 2008)
Week-long annual festival held in downtown Clarion PA (Clarion
County PA) with a wide variety of
activities and vendors including airplane rides, art show and sale,
carnival, craft show, farmers show, parade, motorcycle show, food
vendors, souvenirs and much, much more. This is a huge festival and
draws tens of thousands of visitors. The craft show is held on Friday
only.

Annual
Tour started in 2003 and held the first calendar week in
November - Saturday and Sunday 10AM to 5PM - from historic
Brookville PA to Cook Forest in northwest Pennsylvania on
Route 36 North, Route 322 downtown and side roads. Look for
gingerbread boys. Tour unique and specialty shops with
antiques, quilting items, quality handmade crafts, crafters
homes, an herb farm and artists galleries. Refreshments
served at all locations. Lunch available at Quiet Creek Herb
Farm. |

- Historic Tour of Foxburg
The Butler County Historical Society (BCHS) and the Associated Artists of Butler County (AABC) offer an historic tour of Foxburg, Pennsylvania, located just north of Butler County on the scenic Allegheny River, on Saturday, June 16, 2007. The tour will depart at 9:00 a.m. via deluxe motor coach from the back parking lot of Butler Motor Transit on South Monroe Street in Butler. The bus will arrive at approximately 10:00 a.m. in Foxburg. Visitors will have time to enjoy the shops, which include the Foxburg Wine Cellar, the Red Brick Art and Craft Gallery, and the Foxburg Fineries antique store. The Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts, the refurbished performing arts hall located above the Foxburg Public Library, will open for a demonstration of the Center's mighty Wurlitzer organ. Visitors will enjoy a light lunch at the Inn on the Allegheny. Following lunch, the bus will depart for the Fox Mansion and Estate. Visitors will then tour the renowned Fox Estate, lovingly restored by Dr. Arthur Steffee, until approximately 4:00 p.m. when the motor coach will depart for an estimated return time of 5:00 p.m. to Butler. The Fox family, who accumulated wealth in the lumber and oil businesses, purchased the estate in the late 1800s and constructed a sandstone mansion and carriage house on the site. Dr. Steffee bought the Fox Estate in the late 1990s and has restored it to its former turn-of-the-century beauty and elegance. Tour attendees are invited to bring their cameras and/or art supplies to capture the beautiful scenery of the Allegheny River valley. The historic tour of Foxburg is $65.00 per person, which includes deluxe motor coach transportation, Wurlitzer organ demonstration, lunch, and tour of the Fox Estate. all proceeds from the tour benefit the BCHS and the AABC, 501(c)3 organizations dedicated to local history and art. $20 of the tour price is eligible for tax deduction.
Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased from the BCHS, located on the seventh floor of the National City Bank Building at the corner of Main and Jefferson Streets in Butler, or by calling the office at 724-283-8116, weekdays from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased from the AABC, located at 344 South Main Street in Butler, or by calling the office at 724-283-6922, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., Fridays from 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Annual art festival held the Sunday after Labor Day. The "Art in the Park" art festival is a fun filled, family oriented event.
No admission fee for a day of free activities for children, hay rides, all-day entertainment on stage, art and crafter displays. Also, food is available. A beautiful exhibit of art work entered by area artists features work in oil,
