Information Wanted - Hello! I have 4 plastic McDonald's cups that on one side have the words: PROFESSOR - then below that word is The McD's logo - then below that LE PROFESSEUR. On the other side of the cup is a drawing of a bearded man with glasses and he has his brown, full length lab coat pockets stuffed with slide rules, etc. I think the cups may be from the World Expo that was held in Montreal Canada in 1967. I’m trying to help my brother who is a Vietnam War Vet, who has very ill health, and is in his late sixties. He has collected bottles for many years thinking that it would be an investment later on in his life. Obviously, it did not turn out this way. To get right to the point, he needs cash so he can get better health care, in addition to upgrading his house trailer with his wife. His health is deteriorating and, I’m just trying to help him get a better quality of life. He deserves at least that much. He spends many hours at the Veterans Hospital in Altoona, PA and with many other doctors. We believe he has Agent Orange, but - they don’t think so. He actually has open wounds on his leg. He has extensive rheumatoid arthritis which he takes Predisone for but, it has many side affects. He also has ocular myasthenia. He’s had a tumor removed from this armpit the size of a baseball so, I guess you get my point. I just want to help him as much as I can, but I lost my position. So, I’m hoping that I will some consideration. He has well over 1100 bottles, most still filled. He has some trains, plates, cars, and I have listed about 300+ which is on a separate page - click here. He’s just not in good condition to get a full inventory, but, I believe you will agree there are many interesting pieces. Many in the original boxes. Simply stated, would Avon be interested in these? Surely, AVON could use these in their offices somewhere. He’s looking at selling them for almost 80% less of what he bought them for. He’s asking right now $4500.00. Collectible Tools - I have a collection of woodworking tools in a hand made wooden cabinet that belonged to my great uncle (grandfather's brother.) He was a patternmaker for his whole life and is a collection of all his personal hand tools. It consists of a collection of planes, hand planes, thumb planes, various files & carving chisels, flat and grooved. This collection is a collection of craftsman hand tools like Stanley and other famous brand names. It is well over 50 years old as it is his personal tools that he collected over the years as a patternmaker and he passed away well over 30 years ago.
