revitalization of Saxonburg. New members are always welcome.
JRHSS, Inc. began in 1997 to insure that Saxonburg's primitive German village atmosphere and historic landmarks were maintained. As a result of very hard work, Saxonburg's historic district was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in February of 2003. The JRHSS also manufactures and sells uniquely designed pewter collectibles depicting various historic buildings in Saxonburg. The collectibles are available at the C. Matus Company, The Chandlery Gift Shoppe and The Stillroom on State Street as well as through the JRHSS Website.

Note: We took a day off from work
to make a visit to the stores and shops in Saxonburg and had the
pleasure of meeting most of the business owners. Everyone was SO
friendly and we got a nice feel for the town. The Saxonburg shops are
all owned by local residents and although they have regular store hours,
they are most willing to go to their shop and open the door for you if
you just call them! Until now, we would have never dreamed of calling a
business owner past their regular hours, but after our visit to
Saxonburg, we realized these business owners are real, regular people
(just like anyone else) who have families and lives outside of their
stores. They live close by and most shop owners would appreciate the
business if customers would call or make an appointment if they can't
make it during regular hours.
